The Tinderbox is one of the most basic items. It can be bought from any General Store for 1 coin. It is required to make fires which is used to level the Firemaking skill. A player can make a fire by selecting either the log or the tinderbox and proceeding to select the opposite (ie: Select a log and then click on the tinderbox)
Tinderbox is also an item found on Tutorial Island during the fishing and log cooking section (Part 2, after character editing).
